As you are aware, our class country is Australia. Australia Day is on Saturday 26th January. To celebrate this, we are going to have an Australian themed week on w/c 28th January. We would also like to take this opportunity to raise money for our whole school trip to Bristol in the summer (details to follow). For the last two years, we successfully held a sponsored hop, skip and leap (Australian animal link!) to raise money towards the cost of the trip. This was so successful that we actually had enough money to pay for two trips. The children will do three activities and they will count how many they do of each one. We would love to ask parents, friends, grandparents to sponsor children to complete each activity. Please sponsor a fixed amount per activity. Any money raised will be taken off the cost of the trip for the class. Please return the form sent home in bookbags with any money raised by Wednesday 30th January ready for our sponsored hop, skip and leap that morning during our PE session.
I expect the cost of the trip to be around £12 - £15. Any extra money raised will be put in a pot which may help to pay for another trip or an ice - cream treat.
Many thank you in advance for your support.
Mrs Brown
