Stalbridge Church of England Primary School

November 2015

Dear Parents/Carers

I hope you had a good half term break. We've all made a really good start to the term. This letter should give you all the information you need for the term. You can check our website for further class pages and news too….visit

Remembrance Parade - Wednesday 11th November
Come and join us as we join the community in a Remembrance Parade this Wednesday. We will start at about 10.50am at the Post Office.

We are a nut free school. This is because a nut allergy can cause an anaphylactic shock; a serious health risk and we have staff that would be affected. Please help us by not sending in any nuts, peanut butter, nut bars etc. Thanks for your cooperation.

We join all schools across the country to learn how we can say no to bullying. We will also learn how to help one another if we are worried about what others say to us online or through messages (cyber bullying). More information will follow.

Parent Helpers
We love to have parents/grandparents helping us to learn. If you have a spare hour or two in the week and you would like to join us, please ask your class teacher or at the office.

School Uniform
Thank you for making sure your children are smart for school. I've noticed that we have a few children with their hair braided. Please can I ask you to refrain from hair braiding/dyeing as this is not part of our uniform policy. Thank you.

We are also very pleased to have Mr Turner on board as our new school governor.

Saying Goodbye
Mrs Saville will be leaving us at the end of this term to spend more time with her family. She has worked at Stalbridge Primary for 8 years and we are sorry to see her leave. I'm sure you will join me in wishing her all the best in her next steps.

Policies and Procedures
We are often updating our procedures in line with national guidance about safeguarding and learning. New updates will be added to our website when staff, governors and children have finished reviewing them. We value any feedback you would like to give too.

If you ever need to ask a question, or share a concern, please do come and see me or a member of staff.

I have really enjoyed this autumn term so far and I look forward to all that this Christmas term brings.
Thank you for all the support you give to myself and the school team.

Yours sincerely
