Dear Parents,
Thank you very much for donating so many tins and food items for harvest. We are grateful that, as a school, we are able to share with love and goodness, to those in need. Please remember that, if you ever have a question or concern, you can speak to your class teacher or me.

Well done to our achievers of the week;
'Spotted' for showing Fruit of the Spirit (Galatians 5:22-23)
Vinnie for showing gentleness and kindness helping a new member of the class to settle in

Harvest festival church service Thursday 28th September 9.05 am

We really enjoyed sharing our songs, prayers and poems in the church on Thursday. The children did very well throughout the service. I hope you also enjoyed it. It was nice to have an organist, who did a fantastic job. All the offerings have gone to the women's refuge in Shaftesbury now. Many thanks.

New receptionist
We have appointed Mrs Pitman as our new receptionist, for three mornings a week. We look forward to welcoming her onto our staff team.

School newspaper
Mrs Padfield's journalists have been busy reporting on the harvest celebrations. Please see the attached newspaper for more information.

We recognise that parking is very limited around our school. Please don't park in front of our gates. There are double yellow lines and a sign to warn you that it is unsafe. You will be blocking the view of children crossing and taking up the space which is needed if an emergency vehicle needs to attend. I have contacted the local policing team to ask for support.

Parent's evenings - 10th and 11th October 3.30pm-7pm
A letter has been sent with information about booking parents meetings. Please read it carefully and make arrangements. The office will be pleased to help, where we can.

Eco Council recycling
The Eco council met this week to sort through our recycling. Did you know that we recycle biscuit wrappers in exchange for money? We have raised money in the past that has gone towards resources for school. Please bring your wrappers to the front desk.

Thursday 5th October 2017 - Non Uniform day
On the above date, the children are invited to wear whatever they would like to. In exchange for this, we would encourage a small donation towards our maths resources.

Life Education Van
All the children had an enjoyable session in the Life Education Van. Thank you to all the parents who attended the parents' session.

Year 2 meet the teacher
We are holding this meeting on Wednesday 4th October at 2.30pm.

Spare kit/ clothes
Do you have any good quality kit that we can use in school? We need spare sets of shin pads and any uniform PE kit. If you can help, please see the office.

Goodbye and Good Luck Mrs Brown
Mrs Brown leaves us on Wednesday to take maternity leave. We wish her all the best as she prepares for her new arrival. Mrs Sage will teach full time from 9th October.
