15 September 2017

Friday 15th September 2017
Dear Parents,

The weather has been very changeable this week! Please make sure that your child brings a coat every day. You never seem to know when it might pour down. We have seen so many children give 100% in their learning this week. Everyone is trying to remember to practice their skills. Please remember that, if you ever have a question or concern, you can speak to your class teacher or myself.

Church services
Every fortnight, we have worship time at the St Mary's church from 9.05 am. You are very welcome to join us. The services last about 20-30 minutes. Please do consider joining us for worship and praise. On Thursday 28th September, each class will celebrate harvest. We would especially love to see you there. At harvest time we celebrate and give thanks for the food grown on the land and think about those who sometimes do not have enough food or cannot afford to eat well. We'd like each child to make a donation of food for our Harvest Festival which will be given to the North Dorset Women's Refuge. If children could bring their donations along on Wednesday 27th September we will take them up to the church for display on Thursday.

Life Education Van
Please remember to make payment for this activity as soon as you can. £1 donations can be made on Parentpay or via the office.

'Jeans for Genes' day- Friday 22nd September
Next Friday, we invite all the children and staff to come to school wearing their jeans and bring a donation (suggested £1.00) in aid of Jeans for Genes Day. This is a national event and all funds go towards supporting children who have life altering genetic disorders.
