What a busy week we have had. The children have enjoyed spending more time on the field and playing on our small equipment at lunchtimes. We hope to open the large play equipment very soon. Our PTA have been working together to ensure it receives the funds to refurbish it.
Well done to our achievers of the week; 'Spotted' for showing Christian Values - Freddie Clarke and his dad for helping the school by painting around the swimming pool.

APPS on SMART PHONES We recently had our Police Safer schools team in to teach pupils about online safety and APPS which are unsafe for children. Some APPS can include adult materials and other content which is unsafe for children to see and hear. They are frequently accessed 'without realising the risk.' The NSPCC link below lets you see these apps and reviews the dangers. https://www.net-aware.org.uk/
Sunny Weather Please do remember to send in summer hats and sunglasses for outdoor learning and playtimes. Sun cream is essential too. Parents are welcome to send cream in for pupils to apply themselves if they wish.
Year 6 Well done to all our Year 6 children who have taken their SATs this week. They have faced the challenge with a really good attitude; we are proud of them all. We wish them all a very relaxed weekend.
Year 1 Trip to Charmouth The Year 1 children had a great time at Charmouth. Thank you very much to all the helpers who joined us. The children had a wonderful day hunting for fossils and learning about dinosaurs.
Year 5 & 6 Sailing Year 5 and 6 are looking forward to visiting the Andrew Simpson Sailing Centre next week to take part in the 'sail for a fiver' scheme. Please remember that the children need to be at school by 8:20am so that we can get there on time (the coach will leave school at 8:30am).
NON-UNIFORM DAY 'Wear what you want' THURSDAY 18TH MAY 2017 Summer has arrived and we invite the children to wear what they want on Thursday. They should wear sensible shoes. If you would like to bring an optional donation to support our school library purchases, we would be very grateful.
