Summary of the Inspection Report

Date of inspection: 19–20 January 2010

"The improved quality of teaching has some outstanding features. Newly introduced strategies to enhance pupils' learning, especially in English and mathematics, are particularly effective and have been a significant reason for the recent more rapid progress in these subjects... Pupils enjoy school, shown for example by the very good take-up of extra activities. Their good and sometimes exemplary behaviour, positive attitude in lessons and excellent relationships with adults are of great assistance in helping them to make the accelerated progress that is now evident."
