27th September 2010
There's a few things to tell you and some reminders.
The children voted on the names of the ducks. They are Daisy and Donald. A video of the ducks is on our website www.stalbridge.dorset.sch.uk.
If your child has hot school meals please remember that the price of a meal went up from £2.10 to £2.15 at the start of this term. Please ensure that you keep dinner money separate from other monies to pay to help us with our accounting. Mrs Arnold has money envelopes at the office to help with this.

Children Arriving Before 8.45am
Some children seem to get to school very early unaccompanied by an adult. I'd like to remind everyone that we cannot supervise children before 8.55am (start of Wake 'n' Shake). With the weather beginning to turn colder and wetter we would like children who walk to school on their own or get dropped off to time their arrival nearer to 8.55am.
Parent Consultation Evenings
A letter will be coming home next Friday.
On Thursday 21st October we are holding our Harvest Festival at the church at 9.10am. We'd like you to join us. At harvest time we celebrate and give thanks for the food grown on the land and think about those who sometimes do not have enough food or cannot afford to eat well. We'd like each child to make a donation of food for our Harvest Festival which will be given to the North Dorset Women's Refuge. If children could bring their donations along on Wednesday 20th October we will take them up to the church for display on Thursday.
