School Council

Welcome to our School Council Web page.
We meet at least every fortnight for short meetings.
Sometimes we have longer meetings in the afternoons.
So far we have raised money for Jeans for Genes day and Mosaic bereavement support.
We have also advertised, interviewed and appointed our play leaders.
We are thinking about our rights and responsibilities on the play ground and at lunchtimes.
We are all proud to be a part of the school council.
Here we are reading through the applications for the play leaders.
Here is Rose being interviewed for a job. She did very well and is now a play leader.
Thank you very much to last year's School Council for all their hard work.

We will be holding elections for new school council members on Friday 27th September so get your speeches ready.

If you want to be in with a chance of being elected to the school council you need to give a speech to the other memebers of your class and explain to them why you will do a good job.

The whole school had fun trying lots of different sports during the Sport Relief Tryathalon that the School Council planned and organised.
At our last School Council Meeting on Thursday, 14th April, we discussed the playground and some new signs. We also discussed suggestions from the suggestion box, which included clubs and play equipment.
As part of our Road Safety Week, Wessex FM came to deliver Be Safe Be Seen reflective stickers to the whole school . The School Council met with Vicky and recorded a short voice clip which was aired on Wessex FM. Thank you for our stickers! (Please see the link to the Wessex FM website on the Links page)
The school council have been working on our Anti- bullying policy. They asked all the children to explain what bullying is. They also asked how we could teach children about it and help anyone who has either been bullied or shown bullying behaviour. All the ideas will help Mrs Lafferty-Jenkins to create a new child- friendly policy. Well done everyone.
