Sewing Club with Years 1 & 2 - Mascot making - Summer 2012

The children are making Macots with an Olympic theme. Each child will choose a country and put embellishments on their mascot to represent it. The mascots are drawn and designed individually, cut out and then hand sewn with some machine work.
We have invaluable help from children in Years 5 & 6.

Sewing Club with Years 5 & 6 - Rag doll making 2011 / 2012

Years 5 and 6 have been very busy making rag dolls which had a theme linked with the Olympics. Each child decided to choose a country and then incorporate something (colours, clothing, jewellery) which links it with that Olympic Country. We are still working hard to finish them... watch this space for the finished dolls....

Art and Fashion Show on Friday 8th July

The whole school made contributions to the Art and Fashion Show. Our narrators were from all across the years. Reception showed us their clay, papier mache and felt creature. Year 1 dazzled us with their Chinese dancing. Year 2 all paraded with their handmade African cushions. Year 3 demonstrated their tye and dye T-shirts and Saxon brooches. Year 4 took us through India with fashion, Indian Art and papier mache elephants. Year 5 involved the audience with a super recycled models Dragons Den. Year 6 took us back in time with puppets and album covers. Sewing clubs from Year 1 to 6 amazed everyone with their intricate projects. A fantastic afternoon was had by all. Well done to all that took part and thank you to the parents, grandparents and friends who supported us.
