Cleanest classroom - Year 3
Special mentions to - our Year 6 pupils who have had their first secondary school day.

Step Up Days and Trips
Well done to Year R and Year 3, who enjoyed their trip to Gore Farm. Thank you very much to all the people who helped with this trip.

Transfer Day
We had an interesting 'shuffle up' morning on Thursday. It was good to see the children learning in their new classes.

KS1 Sponsored Swim
Next week all the KS1 children will take part in a sponsored swim during their regular swimming lessons. Everyone will receive a special certificate. We hope to raise valuable PTA funds for the school (please see the school office if you require a sponsor form).
Spare Uniform
Do you have any good quality uniform items that your child has grown out of? We would be glad to receive any PE kit and school jumpers/cardigans for our 'spares' box. Please see the office.

Sports Day - Thursday 13th July
Key stage 1 (Reception, Years 1 & 2) 10.30am - 12.00pm (arrive at 10:25am)
Key Stage 2 (Years 3-6) 1.15pm- 3.00pm
(arrive at 1:05pm)
Please make sure that your child has their house colour
t-shirt with them (ask your child's teacher if you are unsure). The PTA Summer Fayre will start at 3:15, straight after the KS2 sports day. Children will need to be collected in the usual way please, then do stay for some games and refreshments. Clubs will not run on this day.

Reports
You should receive your child's annual school report today. It's been lovely to reflect on their achievements. Please return slips to the office.

Year 4 trip to Salisbury Cathedral
Year 4 look forward to their trip on Monday. Don't forget to pack your child's hat, packed lunch and drinks.

Free School Meals
If you claim some benefits, your child may be entitled to free school meals. The school receives a payment known as Pupil Premium that can be used to support your child's progress. If you think you might qualify, please visit www.dorsetforyou.gov.uk/free-school-meals. If your child is currently in Year 2, free school meals will no longer be available to them from September.

Lost Property
We have lots of items here that have been left behind. The lost property box will be out on the playground each day of the last week of term.

Key Stage 2 Production of Hoodwinked
All the Key Stage 2 children (Years 3-6) will be performing their show on Monday 17th July at 6pm and Tuesday 18th July at 1:30 and 6pm. Don't forget to order your tickets with the office if you haven't already done so. KS1 children will watch the dress rehearsal on the Monday.

Open Afternoon Wednesday 19th July 2.30pm- 3.10pm
We welcome you on the above date to visit the school. You can collect your child/ren, visit their next class, tour the school and look at their work and see the teachers. The children need to be back to their own class by 3.10pm for end of day routines.

Thought for the week
Every week, we have a special focus for thinking and prayer. This week, we were thinking about change, and the fresh challenges this can bring.
"God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble" (Psalm 46:1)

Kind regards
Sarah Lafferty-Jenkins
Headteacher
