Red Nose Day Friday 24th March
The school council would like all the children to support Red Nose Day by wearing something red and bringing in a donation, suggested £1. You can be as creative as you like with red clothes. We will only have a limited number of red noses to sell so this will be done on a first come, first served basis.
Year 4 Ukulele Concert Friday 24th March 11.10 am
Year 4 parents and carers are invited to celebrate the Ukulele players on the above date. We hope that some will be inspired to carry on playing. We would like to thank Diane Ely from Dorset Music Service for teaching the children so well for the last 9 weeks.
Easter Egg Competition
Don't forget to start working on your egg decorating for the school competition. We invite you to be as creative as you can (please use a real hard-boiled egg). Entries need to be handed in by Wednesday 5th April.
Mr Barnett took two teams to Child Okeford on Tuesday to play a friendly match. We are pleased to say that both teams won their matches! The girls played an excellent game, using all the skills that they had practised at lunch time training sessions. They won with a convincing score of 3-1. The mixed team also won, with a score of 4-0. Well done to everyone involved.
All the PE clothes that the children wear needs to follow our uniform. Please make sure that your child is wearing black shorts or dark jogging bottoms and a white school t-shirt.
Year R Thank You Assembly
We invite all the parents and carers from Otters class to join us on Friday 24th March at 9.15am in the hall. All the children have been busy practising their words and songs.
Mobile Phones/ Electronic Devices in School
Please can I remind you that pupils should not be bringing mobile phones or electronic devices to school. If you have given your child a mobile phone to allow them to feel more comfortable walking to and from school, these should be given to the office on arrival and collected at the end of the school day. Thank you for your cooperation.
PTA Waitrose Green Token Box
The PTA have secured a green token box for our school at Waitrose in Gillingham. Every token counts so please let your friends and family know. We hope that these funds will help towards our play equipment.
Good Luck and Goodbye
We've said goodbye to Mrs Franklin today as she leaves to take maternity leave. We wish her all the best of luck with her new baby and we look forward to meeting him or her in the very near future! Mrs Padfield and I will now take on the Year 6 class until the May half term. Mrs Sage has joined us to take the Year 5 class.
