Year R Library Visit
Mrs Cuff and team took our youngest pupils to our local library
on Wednesday for a book share and story. The children had a
fabulous time. Well done! Thanks to all of our parent helpers too.
Help us to win a playground.
We are competing with many schools to try and win a playground. All we need are as many votes as possible for our school before November 14th
2017. Please share this link with family and friends and help to spread the word!
Walk to School 2017 Competition
Mrs Williams, from Stalbridge Pharmacy helped to introduce our Walk to School Campaign this week. We encourage everyone to get active on the way to school. We're holding a poster competition, which ends on Friday 3rd
November 2017. Children can enter during the school day.
Please remember that children who have long hair must tie it up. We don't allow nail varnish or boots at school. All children need a coat every day, thank you.
I must ask again for you to observe our play equipment rules. It is not safe for children to play on this without supervision. We don't allow it to be used before school or when the weather is wet. Please also stay off the field. Sadly, some of our trees have been damaged by unsupervised children. Thank you.
Chair of Governors Vacancy
The governing body is currently looking at ways to fill our important 'Chair' role. We will continue to keep you informed on our progress.
Homework and Reading Questionnaire
Please do return your questionnaires to the office (electronic copy attached). We value your views and hope to make suitable adjustments soon.
Year 3 visit the Dorset County Museum on Wednesday to support their learning in history.
Please make sure that you are aware of your child's activities online. We continue to support families and children to do so. More information can be found at:
Wake and Shake
Wake and Shake is moving to lunchtime after half term. We will continue to meet you out on the playground at 8.50am; children will line up and go into their classes at 8.55am. Please note that Year 3 and 4 mustn't go into their classes until that time. Please remember that children must not
enter school until staff collect them. All staff meet for a briefing in the mornings until 8.50am. If it is raining, please use the shelter and we will do our best to meet you slightly earlier.
