Here is our weekly news. If you have any questions about anything at all, please pop into the office or speak to your child's teacher. We are always happy to help.

Anti-Bullying Week 14th - 18th November 2016
Next week is Anti bullying week. There will be lots of activities going on in school all week. For more information about the main theme, go to http://www.anti-bullyingalliance.org.uk/anti-bullying-week/info-for-parents-and-carers/. The school council and I will be working to review our 'Dealing with Bullying' policy and procedures.

Children in Need Day - Friday 18th November 2016
Don't forget to come dressed in spots / dressed as Pudsey. Please bring a suggested donation of £1. All the children will learn how this event helps children across the country. More information can be found here: http://www.bbc.co.uk/corporate2/childreninneed

PE Kit
If your child is in KS2, please can you provide trainers for them to wear for PE. They will need a bag to put them in after the lessons as our field gets very muddy. An extra pair of socks are also needed. Many thanks.

Play equipment
Our play equipment comes with age appropriate restrictions which are on the notices. Please respect these restrictions. If you choose to use the equipment, please ensure that your child is well supervised. We always restrict the equipment when it is wet or frosty.

Year 1 Phonics Information Workshop - Wednesday 23rd November 9.00-9.30am
Please come along to our phonics workshop on Wednesday 23rd led by our Year 1 teachers. It will be held in the ICT suite. If you would like to come along, please let the office know. Mrs Brown and Mrs Cuff will give you some information on how we teach phonics and show you some of our resources.

Sports News
Good luck to our Year 5 rugby team, who are playing against Hazelbury Bryan Primary School next week (Tuesday 15th Nov). This is a home match, please come and support us.

Academy Consultation
On Monday night, we held a parents consultation to inform parents of the information available concerning the academy proposal. There is information for you on our website under 'News', follow the link here http://www.stalbridge.dorset.sch.uk/news.htm
The governors and I will be arranging an additional meeting and will be able to provide more information for you. Dates to follow.

Bags 2 School
You can bring your bags 2 schools bags in on Tuesday 15th November either at drop off or pick up. They will be collected very early on Wednesday 16th. This is a really good way for the PTA to raise essential funds.

Year R Hand Washing Talk
We welcome the school health team in on Monday. During their visit, they will talk to the children about the importance of washing hands and preventing the spread of germs.

Remembrance Day Parade
The whole school attended the Stalbridge Remembrance Day service. We are proud of the way our children respected the occasion and represented the school. Well done to all those who carried a flag which represented the services.
